Record Your Church Service from Home

Minimal Gear, Huge Impact

Here’s the gear newlife.tv sent their church’s communicators for shelter-in-place

You Can Do This

One of our key takeaways from our discussion with Josh Hinman of newlife.tv was one about “excellence.” For a long time, they chose not to stream their music because they didn’t think they could pull it off with excellence.

But with COVID-19, they realized how little all of that mattered to their church members. Josh said, “All they’re wanting to do is literally just hear you sing and worship Jesus because it’s going to help encourage their hearts. And so remember, your bar is way higher. Theirs is way lower.”

So, going into the next several weeks, newlife has responded to Washington State’s order to “Stay Home, Stay Healthy.” They’ve sent this simple video recording and streaming kit to all of their communicators so each can record their portion of every service from home using their smartphone.

We’re listing Amazon links, but we’re not getting a kickback here. What follows is for reference purposes only.
