The life-changer
When the team behind 99.1 JOY FM and BOOST Radio in the St. Louis market acquired another local station—88.1—they had a dream to launch a new kind of Christian radio station.
WorshipOne would focus on worship music and target the growing next generation of Jesus-followers. And they wanted to launch it with a brand that echoed the feeling of listening to a worship song: lifted and connected to God.
The reach
A new station for a new audience meant a new brand—messaging and visuals that identified the shared win between WorshipOne and its audience, a generation of worshippers who value authenticity over ritual and depth over hype.
To hit the ground running, the WorshipOne team had the ArtSpeak team on-site for a two-day strategy session, where together we identified the brand’s focus and shared win for their audience: A shared worship experience, wherever you are.
Then, it was time to build the brand. For a radio station, the entire brand rests on what their audience hears. WorshipOne needed a strong brand promise that felt accessible and invited those pursuing God’s presence into an everyday worship experience.
They landed on a simple promise to echo in their audience’s ears: Worship. Wherever you are.
And in the digital age we live in, the team wanted a way to share a local station globally—so the ArtSpeak and WorshipOne teams collaborated to build a strong visual identity and incorporate it across a newly developed website, so that people can listen online and via their app.
The win
Today, WorshipOne is thriving as a worship-focused St. Louis area radio station. As one listener put it, “It really stands out as a station for a worship experience—not just uplifting, but connected to God and others.”
As a fully listener-supported station, they exceeded their support goal and continue to find more listeners every day.
