The Life-Changer
Bay Area Pentecostals (formerly Pentecostals of the Bay Area) are a well-known and respected United Pentecostal church in Pittsburg, California. After their church building tragically burned down a few years ago, the congregation moved into a temporary space while working to revamp a local movie theater into their permanent home. Facing the launch of this new building, they wanted a refreshed visual identity and brand strategy to carry their legacy into a new era.
The Reach
To step into their new space effectively—and scale across all their church plants—Bay Area Pentecostals needed to bridge the gap between their history and their future. They wanted to honor their first-generation Spanish-speaking members while primarily connecting with second- and third-generation Hispanic-American families seeking spiritual depth amidst daily life challenges.
Together, we established a clear brand focus and developed a brand identity that strikes a balance in tone—inviting and forward-facing in English, yet rooted and accessible in Spanish.
Visually, we created a clean, timeless look that juxtaposes classic typography with contemporary Latin design elements. This approach keeps the brand grounded in its Pentecostal heritage while giving it the flexibility needed to reach the next generation digitally and in person.
The Win
Equipped with a clear brand strategy and timeless visual identity, Bay Area Pentecostals are now fully prepared to open the doors of their new space, reaching families throughout California for years to come.
