Half of Englewood Methodist’s community leaves the area for 6 months out of the year
Englewood Methodist Church is a multigenerational church with a Wesleyan heritage in Englewood, Florida.
Known as a “snowbird” church, their congregation is made up largely of older generations who go up north for the summer after Easter before returning home to Florida in the early fall.
But in recent years, the team at Englewood has seen more and more young families move in, prompting them to ask the question: How do we reach the next generation and invite them to grow in their faith alongside our current congregants?
Post pandemic (and a devastating hurricane), the church was ready to rebrand and reach people. They had a new visual identity that they loved, and they called ArtSpeak to help them establish strategic focus and messaging that set them up to move towards their aspirational identity: a church that offered life-long transformation through Jesus in a consistent, connected community.
Reaching the growing next-gen community at Easter
As they headed into a new year (and busy season), the team at Englewood Methodist Church wanted to capitalize on their strategic work and reach their community with a campaign around Easter and Holy Week.
As a church, Englewood Methodist hosted a week full of events, activities, and opportunities for people of all ages to celebrate Easter. They wanted a campaign that incorporated print, web, and social media to invite their community to spend Easter experiencing living hope in Jesus.
With an event schedule confirmed, they brought the details to the team at ArtSpeak.

A plan to reach the next generation in Englewood
Before they could create an Easter marketing campaign that resonated, the team knew they needed to understand exactly who they were reaching.
Young families in the Englewood community were the target demographic for the heart of the campaign—the family-focused Easter egg hunt and community carnival. Specifically, families who had recently moved into the area and were looking for ways to get connected.
Secondarily, the team wanted to invite longstanding community members to the unique and traditional Holy Week events the church was hosting: a Living Last Supper live-action recreation, Palm Sunday and Good Friday services, and Easter Sunday services.
ArtSpeak and Englewood Methodist’s teams used their audience’s root hope and challenge to build around the theme of “living hope,” inviting all of Englewood to be part of remembering and celebrating the real hope that Jesus provides, and the truth that Easter changed everything.
Clear. Compelling. Strategic.
The goal of the campaign was to maximize engagement and attendance throughout Holy Week by reaching both new and existing audiences with a clear, compelling invitation to join in on events and opportunities. Additionally, the team wanted to create a pathway for first-time guests to return after Easter weekend.
ArtSpeak worked with Englewood Methodist’s team to build out a strategy:
- Targeted outreach via various marketing channels to increase visibility
- Clear entry points and next steps
- Equipping the congregation as primary inviters
- Capturing and nurturing first-time guests
Since Holy Week began on March 29, 2026, the campaign phases began at the very beginning of March with a phased approach:
- Launch & Awareness (March 1 – March 7)
- Momentum Building (March 8 – March 21)
- Consideration (March 22 – March 28)
- Conversion & Event Date (March 29 – April 5)
